PeopleProcessPerformance

Built by an operator. Proven at fleet scale.

Christine Merriman speaking on stage at an industry conference.

What we do

Most consultancies pick one. We do all three.

Most shops work in sequence — fix the people, then the process, then buy the technology. By the time the third one starts, the first has drifted. Nothing compounds.

Technology is where it shows. A platform dropped onto a broken process automates the break and bills you monthly for it. A process written without the people who run it gets worked around by the second week.

Run separately, they’re three projects.
Run together, they’re a business.

People, process, and technology as three pillars or one bridge Three pillars labelled people, process, and technology stand separately on solid ground. Tied together they form a triangular truss bridge: process becomes the deck, people and technology rise as the two braces, and the ground beneath opens into a gap the span now crosses. THE AWB WAY = SUCCESS People Process Technology Tech
Three pillars on solid ground. Nothing crosses anything. One bridge. The triangle is what makes it rigid enough to span.

How we work

Three ways in — from a first location to a six-hundredth.

For the owner whose numbers stopped making sense, and the operator with six hundred locations drifting apart.

  • Operational diagnostic and root cause
  • Workforce and labor model correction
  • Process standardization across sites
  • Governance that holds the fix in place

Founder

Christine Merriman

Two careers, run in parallel.

Building businesses since she was eight.

The first one was a newspaper, at eight. Then backyard concerts and roadside stands. A grocery job at fourteen. Flipping cars at sixteen. A first million-dollar concept at twenty-one.

It never stopped. She built businesses for other people — equine massage, a hot dog truck, construction, powersports — designing their operating systems and the technology underneath. A real estate license and a residential practice in Kentucky. CM Designs // Solutions, consulting small businesses on planning, startup strategy, and operations. BookieWorks, a premium vehicle rental venture in Dallas–Fort Worth. Sole proprietorship, LLC, and S-corp — all three formed while working full-time and earning an MBA.

All of it ran alongside a second career. Twenty-five years at a national automotive services company across 11 progressive roles, ending as Director of Central Operations Enablement & Experience — through two public separations and a $2.65B divestiture. She stood up new service models, rebuilt workforce architecture across hundreds of locations, and put the technology in place to hold it together.

That work ran on both sides of the line — company operations and multiple franchise organizations. Separate owners, separate P&Ls, no authority to fall back on. Franchisees adopt what works and ignore what doesn't, which is the hardest and most honest test a model can get.

She launched AWB Consultants as an S-corp in 2022 to reach more businesses.
